We're Hiring - Packaging Sales Representative

Summary/Objective:

The position is responsible for direct sales, technical sales support, and customer promotion of all new Cultech Plastic Packaging products into the plastic packaging market segment within Indonesia. This position requires a high level of technical competency, capability, and experience within the thermoforming machinery packaging market.

Core Functions/Duties:

Sells Cultech Plastic Packaging products into the plastic packaging market segment within Indonesia.

• Supports existing customer base as required.
• Re-establishes contact and builds relationships with legacy customers.
• Identifies strategic target accounts that align with current product strategy (high performance and technology) and develops plan to acquire them.
• Assists customers in choosing the proper size and materials for their needs.
• Serves as liaison between customers, partners, admin staff, and the production team as required.
• Collaborates with admin staff and/or production team to develop proposals for potential orders.
• Negotiates price and order details with prospective customers.
• Assists admin staff and/or production teams with order clean-up details (PO, DP, shipping info, etc.)
• Maintains constant communication (email, phone, visits) with existing and prospective accounts in the territory and/or assigned accounts.
• Holds regular meetings with key accounts and prospects within the territory and/or assigned accounts.
• Learns of the customers’ needs and educates them about Cultech Plastic Packaging products.
• Maintains consistent reporting of all relevant sales and travel activities and transactions.

Participates in trade shows, conferences, industry groups, and promotional events relevant to the packaging market segment.

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years experience selling plastic packaging materials or finished goods.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• 1) Four-year technical degree or business degree, and/or 2 years industry experience in plastic packaging sales.

Competencies:

• Knowledge of the plastics packaging market (materials & converting).
• Ability to understand and present technical information concerning the thermoforming process.
• Strong entrepreneurial, commercial judgment, planning and organizational skills. Established track record of identifying new business opportunities, value selling success and negotiation skills, and proven ability to close new business in a highly technical marketplace.
• Willingness to learn to sell new technology equipment as it is developed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of an organization.
• Self motivated and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Willingness to travel an average of 50% of the time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
